1. Agreement to these terms

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the website https://www.hackgru.com, the HackGRU learning platform, mobile applications, and all related services (together, the "Platform"), operated by Hackgenix Tech Private Limited ("Hackgenix", "we", "us", "our"), a private limited company incorporated under the Companies Act, 2013, with its registered office at 67/1, Thiyagi Nadesan Street No. 3, Ammapettai, Salem, Tamil Nadu 636003, India.

By accessing the Platform, creating an account, or purchasing a course, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy, Refund & Cancellation Policy and Shipping & Delivery Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

2. Eligibility

You may use the Platform only if you can form a binding contract under the Indian Contract Act, 1872. By using the Platform you represent that:

• You are at least 18 years of age; or
• You are between 13 and 18 and are using the Platform under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to these Terms on your behalf; and
• You are not barred from receiving our services under any applicable law.

We may refuse service, close accounts, or cancel enrolments at our discretion where these conditions are not met.

3. Your account

To enrol in a course you must create an account with accurate, current and complete information. You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your password and account credentials;
• All activity that occurs under your account;
• Notifying us immediately at info@hackgru.com of any unauthorised use.

Accounts are personal and non-transferable. One account is licensed to one individual. Sharing credentials, or allowing another person to attend live sessions in your place, is a material breach of these Terms and may result in termination without refund.

4. Courses and live sessions

Our courses are delivered as live, mentor-led online sessions according to a published schedule, supported by recordings and materials on the Platform.

4.1 Schedule and delivery

• Session timings, durations and start dates are published on each course page and are in Indian Standard Time (IST).
• We may reschedule an individual session for operational reasons (mentor illness, technical failure, force majeure). We will give as much notice as reasonably possible and provide a replacement session or recording.
• A cohort requires a minimum number of enrolments to run. If a cohort is cancelled by us, you will receive a full refund or a transfer to the next cohort, at your choice.

4.2 Attendance

Live sessions are recorded and made available on your dashboard, typically within 24 hours. Attendance at live sessions is strongly encouraged but not mandatory. Recording availability does not extend the refund window described in our Refund Policy.

4.3 Curriculum changes

We continuously improve our curriculum. We may update module content, tools, or sequencing to keep pace with industry practice, provided the overall learning outcomes are not materially reduced.

5. Fees and payment

Course fees are displayed on each course page in Indian Rupees (INR) and are inclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.

• Payment is a one-time fee per course, collected before access is granted.
• Payments are processed by our third-party payment gateway, Razorpay Software Private Limited. We do not store your card, UPI or banking credentials on our servers.
• By making a payment you also agree to the terms of the payment gateway provider.
• We may revise pricing at any time. Changes do not affect purchases already completed.
• If a payment fails, is reversed, or is charged back, we may suspend access pending resolution.

6. Refunds and cancellation

Refunds and cancellations are governed by our Refund & Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these Terms. In summary: you may request a full refund within 7 days of purchase provided you have attended 2 live sessions or fewer. Please read the full policy for conditions and exclusions.

7. Intellectual property

All content on the Platform — including course materials, recordings, code, slides, assignments, assessments, the SSAT engine, text, graphics, logos, and the HackGRU name and marks — is owned by or licensed to Hackgenix Tech Private Limited and is protected by Indian and international intellectual property law.

7.1 Your licence

On payment, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the course content for your own learning only.

7.2 What you may not do

• Record, screen-capture, download, copy or redistribute any live session or material;
• Share, resell, sub-licence, upload or publish our content on any platform, including messaging groups, cloud drives or torrent networks;
• Use our content to create a competing course or training service;
• Remove or obscure any copyright, watermark or proprietary notice.

Breach of this section may result in immediate termination without refund, and we reserve the right to pursue legal remedies including damages and injunctive relief.

7.3 Your work

You retain ownership of the projects and code you create during a course. You grant us a non-exclusive right to display your submitted work for evaluation, and — only with your separate consent — for promotional purposes.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Harass, abuse, threaten or discriminate against mentors, staff or other learners;
• Disrupt live sessions, community channels or the Platform;
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Platform, other accounts, or our systems;
• Upload malware, or use the Platform to transmit unlawful, obscene or infringing material;
• Use automated means to scrape, mirror or extract content;
• Misrepresent your identity or affiliation.

We may suspend or terminate access for breach of this section without refund.

9. No guarantee of employment

We provide training, mentorship, portfolio guidance, resume review, mock interviews and access to our hiring partner network. We do not guarantee employment, placement, a specific salary, or any particular outcome.

Statistics, testimonials and outcome figures published on the Platform describe past results of individual learners or partner institutions. They are illustrative and are not a promise or representation of the results you will achieve. Your outcome depends substantially on your own effort, aptitude, prior background and market conditions.

10. Third-party services

The Platform integrates third-party services (for example Razorpay for payments, video conferencing for live sessions, and cloud hosting). Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the acts, omissions, availability or content of third parties.

11. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The Platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Hackgenix Tech Private Limited, its directors, employees and mentors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, goodwill or opportunity, arising from your use of the Platform.

Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or a course shall not exceed the amount you actually paid to us for that course in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

12. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Hackgenix Tech Private Limited, its directors, officers, employees and mentors from any claim, demand, loss, liability or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, your violation of any law, or your infringement of any third-party right.

13. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your account, with or without notice, if you breach these Terms, if we are required to do so by law, or if we discontinue the Platform.

You may stop using the Platform at any time and may request account deletion by writing to info@hackgru.com. Termination does not automatically entitle you to a refund except as set out in the Refund Policy.

14. Changes to these terms

We may amend these Terms from time to time. The revised version will be posted here with an updated "last updated" date, and takes effect when posted. Material changes affecting existing enrolments will be notified by email where reasonably practicable. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

15. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to the dispute-resolution provision below, the courts at Salem, Tamil Nadu shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms.

We aim to resolve every concern directly and quickly. Please first write to info@hackgru.com describing the issue; we will respond within 5 business days.

17. General

• Entire agreement: These Terms, with the policies referenced, are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Platform.
• Severability: If any provision is held unenforceable, the remainder continues in full force.
• Waiver: Our failure to enforce a right is not a waiver of that right.
• Assignment: You may not assign these Terms. We may assign them to an affiliate or successor.
• Force majeure: We are not liable for failure to perform due to events beyond our reasonable control.
